You have come to the right place as there are numerous ways to get involved and gain valuable experience while you are a student at Radford University.
 
This office can get you engaged in the community!  Our goal is for every student at RU to develop a portfolio of skills and real world work experiences that will make you an outstanding citizen of the Commonwealth and the most sought after of graduates.

Here are some options:

• Participate in this community and begin to solve global issues by starting here in the New River Valley  - Become a Highlander in Action Intern or take the Students for Positive Change courses (COED 261)

• Have at least two internship experiences that can convert to possible full time employment options. (Testimonials of students who have completed internships) Internship Forms

• Volunteer with a community organization and begin to build skills and accomplishments

  RU sponsors a number of short-term, faculty-led programs as well as many exchanges and affiliations with a wide variety of programs on six continents. Visit the International Education Center for a listing of Study Abroad Programs for 2009-10.
